AMBASSADORS

At Ignite we want to create a place for girls and young women to find inspirational role models. Your experience, passion and expertise is invaluable and you can inspire others!

We are looking for women from a range of backgrounds and sectors, to become Ambassadors for Ignite. We want to showcase women right across the career journey from further education and apprenticeships, to entry level positions up to management roles and leadership positions.

The role of an Ambassador is to:

• Share your career journey through a profile on our website. You will be interviewed by an Ignite staff member or volunteer or by a young woman from an Ignite programme.
• Spread the word about Ignite through your organisation and network.
• For your own inspiration, you will receive news on other Ambassadors and from the girls and young women on the Ignite programmes.

If you enjoy your involvement with Ignite, you may choose to get further involved in any of the following ways:

• Speak at a seminar with girls and young women about your experience and your industry. Answer questions and discuss key issues with the participants.
• Provide a shadowing opportunity - you will give a young woman access to a world which she has no experience of, and give her first hand insight.
• Mentor a young woman with an interest in your area of work. This could be short term, providing an overview of your industry or a longer term relationship. The young woman will have clear goals to enable you to design the relationship and maximise the experience for you both.
• Provide iinternship or work experience opportunity within your organisation for a young woman.
• Sponsor an event or seminar.
