CONNECTIONS

In addition to our courses and one to one coaching, Ignite provides access to opportunties to help you add to your own experiences and learn from others. These opportunties are offered through our Ignite network of Ambassadors.

You can access these opportunities through an Ignite course or through one to one coaching. Together with your coach you will find the opportunity that suits you best.

Interview a role model - if you are interested in an area or work we can connect you with someone in that area. You interview them asking them what you want to know about their experience and industry, and then we post the interview on the website to share the learning with other young women.

Mentoring - Ignite will match you with someone who has experience in your sector or area of interest. Mentoring relationships may be short term to explore a specific issue or over a longer period of time to explore issues in more depth. You will go into the mentoring relationship with clear objectives to enable you to design the alliance with your mentor and get the most from the relationship.

Shadowing - Explore an area of interest by shadowing an Ambassador from the Ignite network for a short period of time. You will gain first hand experience of what it is like to work in your area of interest.

Building Networks -  You will learn networking skills through interacting with the Ignite network and develop formal and informal networks for your personal support and career development beyond Ignite. These networks might be in your sector or area of interest, or more broadly for personal support. You may join professional networks or be ready to move into networks for established leaders beyond Ignite.

Interactive seminars - These seminars will be an opportunity to hear from established leaders about their experiences of leadership, ask questions and discuss the issues with other participants and speakers. You will learn about leadership in action – both good and bad, reflect with other participants on the learning and consider and debate what society requires from leaders.
